Meet Eileen Daigle

More often times than not, Eileen is the friendly voice you hear when calling. Eileen has a long time love of animals further developed while she was a junior volunteer, then volunteer, at Acadiana Animal Aid. There she realized she wanted to make a career of caring for animals. While attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for an animal science degree, Eileen wanted to start working in her field. Previously, she worked in retail and restaurant businesses for several years.

After meeting her husband, Seth, Eileen began working as a kennel and doggy daycare technician before taking on a client services role. Now at Companion Animal Hospital of Lafayette, Eileen enjoys taking care of both clients and pets as she is often taking care of pets in our hospital in addition to being a friendly familiar voice. Outside of work, Eileen enjoys going on adventures with her husband, Seth, spending time with family and friends, spending time outdoors such as gardening or fishing, and loving on her two cats Kit and Bam.

Meet Kassandra Castille

Kassandra was born and raised in north Louisiana (though we don’t hold that against her) and made her way to Lafayette, where she met her husband and planted her roots. She has always felt drawn to animals in need, bringing home flea-infested or injured pets as a child. Her family would always remark that she just had “a way” of communicating with animals. She realized her passion could transform into a career in 2016, when she began as a kennel technician that was thirsty for knowledge of veterinary medicine. Thus, began her journey to becoming a veterinary nurse.

Companion Animal Hospital of Lafayette is the proud home where she continues to evolve and grow her nursing skills. She has a special interest and love for anesthesia and surgical procedures, client education, and hospice care.

When Kassandra is not here caring for your companions, she enjoys spending as much time outdoors as she can whether it be hunting, fishing, homesteading, or tending to her hilarious flock of birds. She is a member of a nonprofit organization that encourages and empowers women who enjoy the great outdoors and contributes to the conservation efforts nationwide.

Meet Maegan Swacker

Maegan began her career in veterinary medicine by working as a kennel technician and receptionist, but soon realized that medicine was where her heart was and started her training into becoming a nurse. She gained three and half years of experience under the mentorship of Dr. Don Meyer and Dr. Lindsey Frugè in her hometown of Crowley.

Working in Crowley is also where she met and fell in love with her fiancé, Christian Morgan, who is now in veterinary medicine school at LSU. She is currently attending school to further her knowledge in veterinary medicine, gain additional skills to give your pets the best possible care, and become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

After a brief pause from the Veterinary field, Maegan was excited to join the Companion Animal Hospital team from the beginning. Maegan has a beautiful daughter named Eleanor who’s love for animals is unmatched. Her pets include a hamster named Bella and the self-appointed ruler of the house— a yellow lab named Filson. Maegan’s special interests in veterinary medicine are dentistry and radiology. When she’s not wedding planning, Maegan and her family enjoy fishing, hunting with Filson, tending to their garden, and cooking.
